- He was born July 30, 1824, in Concord, N. H., where his life was mainly spent until his eighteenth year, when he went to Boscawen, N. H., to learn the trade of carriagemaker. He completed his apprenticeship in Merrimacport, Mass., then went to West Amesbury, where he lived the remainder of his life.
Mr. Allison was a Republican in politics. He had light hair, sandy complexion and blue eyes. He and his wife were members of the Baptist church. He died of consumption in Merrimacport, Feb. 5, 1867, aged 42 years, 6 months, 6 days.
