    • (OBIT: The funeral of Miss Grace I. Noyes, whose death occurred on the afternoon of Memorial Day, was held from the First Universalist church, Kenoza avenue, at 3 p.m. Sunday. The body, in an open casket, lay in the front of the ladies' parlor, and the friends and neighbors to the number of 200 filled the parlor and large portions of the vestibule and Sunday school room. All plans for the funeral had been made by Miss Noyes, herself, and in every respect her wishes were carried out by those in charge. The flowers, in great abundance, were beautifully arranged by Miss Sarah E. Blaisdell assisted by Mrs. D.C. Hunt. The organist of the church, Alexandre Roger, played through the service three selections, Handel's Largo, Dubois' Cortege Funebre and Handel's Dead March from Saul. It was noted by all present how very pleasing and effective especially was the rendering of the Cortege Funebre during the reading and the prayer of the minister. Rev. Leroy W. Coons, D.D., after selections from the scriptures read Klingle's One Family In Heaven and Earth, following this by the prayer. The six bearers were Hon. Albert L. Bartlett, Harry H. Spofford, Fred D. McGregor, Asher B. Arnold, Edwin C. Kimball and Frank E. Cage. Burial was in the family lot in Linwood cemetery.)
