    • (OBIT: Dorothy Morgan Barnes, 69, died Dec. 8, 1988, at Cary Medical Center in Caribou after a long illness.

      She was born at Caribou, June 8, 1919, the daughter of Clyde and Blanche (Pike) Morgan. She was a graduate of Caribou High School , Class of 1936, and the Maine School of Commerce, Class of 1937. In 1939, she was married to Raymond H. Barnes of Caribou. She was a member of and attended the Caribou United Baptist Church of Caribou all of her life.She retired in 1979 after 16 years as clerk of courts for the Caribou District Court. Previously, she was employed by Beaver Brook Farms and the Federal State Inspection Service, both in Caribou.

      She is survived by her husband, Raymond of Caribou; two sons, Raymond "Butch" Barnes, Jr. of Caribou, and Gregg Barnes of Portland; one daughter, Lucinda Bosley of Washburn; three sisters, Mrs. Regna Todd, Mrs. Ruth Noyes and Mrs. Marjorie Wyman, all of Caribou; and seven grandchildren.

      Funeral services were held Dec. 11, 1988 at the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Arthur Eddy, pastor of the Caribou United Baptist Church, officiating.

      Spring interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.)
