- (In it he gave his wife Tabitha all his household goods, the use of one half his real estate, his negro man Primus, liberty to cut wood and timber for fire and fence “use of my clock” and all his fowls and bees. To daughter Sarah “all bedding and other linning in my house marked with her name”, one large Bible with her name in it one silver spoon, one fourth part of the household goods after her mother's death and use of the westwardly side of the house as long as she remained single. To daughter Elizabeth Smith certain lands one fourth part o household goods after her mother's death one fourth part of cloth and yarn one fourth part of books etc. To son William Noyce the farm where I now dwell, marsh etc.
Inventory taken Jan 13 1772 by Ezekiel Bayley, Samuel Jaques and Samuel Pillsbury, amounted to 1847:19:5:2 and included dwelling house barn and cyder mill, land at Ceder point Rowley, marsh at black rocks, Salisbury , meadow at town creek in Salisbury , wearing apparel, clock and cane, 2 swarms of bees, a croscut saw, etc.)

- He was a leading citizen, deacon of the church and resident of Newbury.
Reminiscences of a Nonagenarian says "John, oldest son of William and Sara (Cogswell) Noyes, married Tabitha Dole, and moved to the West Precinct, Newbury, where he became a leading citizen and deacon of the church; his estate was on the main road near the Bradford line."
