- Place name meaning, gracious. Town on northern border of tribal territory of Zebulun (Josh 19:14). The El-Amarna tablets and the annals of Tiglath-pileser III of Assyria also mention it. It is probably present-day tell el-Badawiye, about six miles north of Nazareth.
