    • Samuel and Charity lived first in Falmouth on the shore near Pine Grove Cemetery, where their first child was born. They lived later in Freeport on the Porter Road where a grandson, Herrick Davis, later lived. He also made shoes. He had a small shoe shop near his home on the Porter Road (now the Hunter Road). His children remembered Eliza as a very kind woman who read aloud to them.
