    • (OBIT: Linwood Peterson, 71, of New Sweden, passed away on May 20th, 2018 in Bangor. Linwood was born in Caribou on July 5, 1946, the son of the late Henry and Evelyn Quist Peterson.

      Linwood was a 1964 graduate of Caribou High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1965-1967 and was a member of Stockholm American Legion Post 136.

      He was predeceased by his parents, his twin brother, Elwood, brother Robert and sister Vivian Brown.

      He is survived by his wife, Patricia of New Sweden, daughter, Tricia Peterson of Bangor; brother Glenn and wife Valerie of Woodland, sister Elsie Mueller and husband Ted of Hopkinton, Mass; sister in law, Jeannette Peterson of Stockholm; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

      Per Linwood's request, there will be no services. Internment will be at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Caribou.
