- (I Moses Noyes pastor of the church of christ at Lyme, being sensible that I am a stranger and sojourner on the earth, and that it is the duty of all, especially the aged to be always ready for a removal hence, by finishing the work given us to doe here, one part of which, is the setting our house in order, and disposing our estate so as to prevent contention among those we leave behind us, in this contentious and quarelsom world. I do therefore make ordain and declare this to be my last will and testament.
1. Whensoever god shall call, I resigne my soul to god that gave it, and my body to the dust to be decently interred at the discretion of my executors.
2. To my son Moses, I give my dwelling house and homelot, and my lands adjoyne to it, in and about boggy hole, and at four mile river, and at the great hill, not yet laid out, and the three score acres to be laid out near Benamin Smiths, as also my right to the fourth division to be laid out, and also my two parcels of medow on the island. and my farm [of] five hundred acres, granted by the general court, and all my lands in Lyme ..... with all priviliges and appurtenances thereunto belonging, in fee simple, to him, his heirs, executors, administrators and assignes for ever, excepting onely what lands I have given to my son John or shall give.
3. To my son John, I give my lands at the seaside, between the parsonage farm and Jonah Beck['s] land both upland and medow, and the buildings thereon, with all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging, in fee simple to him, his heirs, executors and administrators and assigns for ever, and, the stock that he hath on the said farm of cattell, horses, and swine, and an equal ..... in the commons with his brother Moses, and also one half of my library of books. He paying to his sisters Ruth Wadsworth and Sarah ten pounds a peice. within five years after my will is proved .. ... .... give him also one halfe of my right in ye comons of Lyme that may herafter be divided.
4. To my daughter Ruth Wadsworth I give fourty pounds to be paid by my son Moses, besides the ten pounds from my son John, also my best bed and boulster.
5. To my daughter Sarah Mather, I give twenty pounds to be paid by my son Moses, besides the ten pounds from my son John, and the negro maid Sirabella. obliging my son Moses to ...... .. her in ...
6. I give my stock of cattell, sheep, horses & swine and houshold goods, to my son Moses and all other estate not disposed of before, particularly half my library of books, to enable him to pay the legacies to his sisters, desiring him always to be kind to them and ..... . And I appoint my two sons Moses and John executors of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal ..... ....... .

- Since my making my will above written baring date Aug 19 1719 wherin I gave my daughter Wadsworth fourty pounds to be paid by my son Moses, and ten pound to be paid by son John, my so[n having paid fifty pound to his brother Wadsworth, I revoke those two articles as being already performed, by my son Mo[ses] My best bed and boulster, remaining onely to be paid to my daughter Ruth Wadsworth by son Moses. And [it is] my will that my son John pay to his sister Sarah Mather thirty pound w.... .... years after my decease which with the negro Sirabella a[.. that she is to have of my executors. All the other articles in my will I confirm to stand valid and in full force ....... .
I have hereunto set my hand August 2. 1724.

Fellow of Yale 1706. First minister at Lyme, Connecticut where he preached fifty years. He had Cedar Swamp lots awarded for Indian War service (Naragansett Vols.)
