  	(Obit: John DeRaad, 85, Dies; Funeral is Wednesday. (age differs from below) John DeRaad, 83, of 605 River Lane and a former employee of Rilco, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the Park Avenue Nursing Home, where he had been a resident since February.7. His death was attributed to complications of advanced age. A Native of The Netherlands, he was born July 30, 1878, at Midwolda, Groningen, Holland. His parents were the late Engel and Ella DeRaad. He came to the United States in 1905 and located at Austinville,Iowa. In 1929 he moved to Hollandale, where he farmed until 1940. Since that time he lived at Albert Lea. He retired from Rilco in 1948. He was a memb er of the First Reformed Church at Hollandale. Mr DeRaad Married Etta Boelman, Aug. 31, 1900, in Holland. She died May 25, 1947. One Son, Earl, died April 26, 1957 , Two brothers, Nanko and Paul, and two sisters, Mrs Harm (Dena) Nienoord, and Mrs Albert (Ida) Groenburg, also preceded him in death. Immediate survivors are four sons, John Jr., Hollandale; Nanko and Eldert, Clarks Grove, and Jerry, Boyden, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs Lynn (Dena) Citurs, Glenville; Mrs Henry (Minnie) Molle, Owatonna; Mrs Jans (Etta) Arends, Marble Rock, Iowa, and Mrs Siebe (LuElla) Arends, Austinville, Iowa ; one daughter-in-law, Mrs Earl DeRaad, Albert; 38 grandchildr en and 50 great grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Albert Lea, Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery . The Rev. Earl Byleen will officiate. Bonnerup & Sons Funeral Chapel is making Arrangements.)
